Marie's Adventure Alram Highlands
Mines, the north save circle, and the bonus boss that holds Seqioptaht Part I.
The Alram Highlands are the overworld pin behind the most-missed lore book in Marie’s Adventure. Community players who already hold Seqioptaht Parts II–IV still walk past Part I because it sits on a bonus boss after the mines, not on the main story spine. This location page is the map half of that hunt; the inventory checklist lives on Seqioptaht.
Unlock timing follows the chapter spine on Story Walkthrough. Do not treat the highlands as a second Sylva City — there is no birth inn here.
Why this pin exists
Launch-week collectible threads repeat the same sentence:
Held by a bonus boss in the Alram Highlands. After going through the mines there’s a path north that leads to a save circle. Beating the boss will get you the book.
That is the entire verified route. This wiki will not invent a boss name, element table, or grid coordinates until a numbered patch or a version-stamped screenshot supplies them.

Route: mines → north → save circle
- Push story until Alram Highlands / mines are reachable.
- Clear the mines path — this is the gate, not optional flavor.
- Look for a path north after the mines.
- Stop at the save circle. Save. The bonus boss is optional and can wipe you.
- Fight, loot Seqioptaht Part I, then leave.
- If the fight is too hard, leave, deliver in Sylva, raise Chroma, and come back. The book does not despawn because you walked away.
Players asking “how did you defeat it?” on the same itch thread are hitting a skill check, not a missing switch. Use the same prep as other optional bosses: births, stamina, Safe Day, working Killswipe on v1.0g+ (Hellebore, Combat Basics).
What else is in the highlands
Treat Alram as a combat + collectible zone:
- Bonus boss — Part I, as above.
- Mines — story / traversal gate; expect standard demon packs.
- Save circle — your only honest checkpoint before the optional fight.
- Walking — still advances pregnancy. Plan the hike like a dungeon, not a scenic overlook.
Other Seqioptaht books are not in these hills. Church, Slums, and Charlotte’s 100,000-coin unlock are town pins (World Locations). After all four books, the follow-up is the carrot in the box in town, not a second highland boss.
Pregnancy and overdue risk
Highlands walking is a long tick. v1.0g adds a log line when a girl becomes Overdue. If that appears:
- Stop hunting chests.
- Return to Sylva via whatever travel you have — do not sleep in a highland camp expecting labor.
- Deliver or enable the Config prevent automatic childbirth option if you only needed a rest (Content Settings).
Entering the bonus boss at 100% is how people turn a collectible into a crisis. Deliver first, or fight mid-gestation with the save circle as your undo.
Combat notes for the bonus boss
- Update to v1.0g so Demonology Rewrite is not quietly breaking enemy HP (community 1 HP reports after save-porting).
- Safe Day Max HP from v1.0f plus the v1.0g Remuru scaling fix make another easier-mode retry worth it.
- Crown of Fortune Cat does not help this fight — swap it off (Artifacts).
- Empty stamina still halves EXP; the new EXP log after battle tells you if the mines grind is paying.

Alram Highlands are small on the world map and easy to under-explore. Walk the mines, turn north, save, then take the book — that is the whole reason this pin is on the wiki.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where is the Alram Highlands bonus boss?
After the mines, take the north path to a save circle. The bonus boss there drops Seqioptaht Part I.
Do I have to beat the boss to finish the story?
No. It is an optional collectible fight. You can leave and return after births and upgrades.
Can I give birth in the highlands?
No. Only Sylva City Inn runs labor. Walk or teleport back if someone hits 100% or Overdue.
Are the other Seqioptaht books here too?
No. Church, Slums, and Charlotte’s shop unlock are town sources. See the Seqioptaht guide.
